Books
When I consider what projects have brought me the most creative fulfillment, I land on two collaborative book projects. The first was an ethnographic cookbook project titled Savor : Stories of Community, Culture, and Food that I co-wrote and photographed with Kate Harrington. The project celebrates the intersection between culture and community through food in west Salt Lake. Beginning with curiosity about how food justice and cultural factors impact the perception and execution of eating healthfully, a year of research resulted in the collection of fifteen recipes and contributor profiles from participants originating from 12 different countries.
The second is Diamonds in the Rough, a collection of writing, drawing, and photography from sixteen professional athletes that I collected and edited during the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic. From these two experiences, I know that the act of gathering stories and artfully curating them into tangible pieces of history is an important underlying current in my creative work.

I have been drawn into the world of herbalism since chronic illness disrupted my active, travel-filled life six years ago. The plants have invited me to slow down and deepen my relationship with the environments I call home, and my herbalism teacher, Constance Lynn, has opened my mind to all that exists beyond our human-centered world.
Below are a few herbal recipes I created for my friend Rachel Pohl’s Plans + Dreams Rewilding Journal, available here.
