The design for this pendant came from watching water ripple across a pond, set with a piece of Indian Mountain Turquoise.
Hung on a chunky, handmade chain, this kinetic piece brings powerful presence wherever it goes. Nice and weighty, a good piece to keep close to your heart!
A Shoshone sheepherder was said to discovered the Indian Mountain lode in 1970, on the south range of Bald Mountain in Lander County, Nevada where he stumbled upon a vein of turquoise on a hillside while tending his sheep. This mine hasn’t produced in over 20 years and Indian Mountain turquoise is rare and worth collecting. It produced both blue and green turquoise, sometimes combined, with brown to black spider web.
Solid Sterling Silver
