Tiny Bone Pendant

$105.00
Sold Out

A tiny bone, found in the desert, made into a pendant with the method of sand casting. A reminder of the dance of life and death, of mortality, of the creatures we share this earth with.

Pendant hangs on a 20 inch oxidized sterling silver chain.

Sand casting is an ancient technique where I create a mold using slightly damp sand and then pour molten silver into the mold. I take scraps of recycled sterling silver and melt them down to create each pendant. It is delightful alchemy. Each mold can only be used once and so each casting is unique.
