These earrings combine segments of sand cast snake vertebrae with small baby blue Larimar stones.
Sand casting is an ancient technique where I create a mold using slightly damp sand and then pour molten silver into the mold. I take scraps of recycled sterling silver and melt them down to create each piece and the mold can only be used one time. It is delightful alchemy.
These are of the desert, with plenty of movement and just as happy to be worn with jeans and cowboy boots or a dress and heels.
